Frequently Asked Questions
How do I make, reschedule or cancel an appointment?
What should I bring to my appointment?
Your completed packet of office forms, proof of insurance (card), co-payment (due at your appointment), and any recent test results that pertain to the condition for which you are coming to our office (labs, x-rays, CT/MRI reports, ultrasound reports, other dictated reports, etc).
We may ask that you obtain your test results from the facility performed so that we can review them with you in the office at the time of your visit. Although delivery of test results to our office from outside facilities is typically available, we recommend that you obtain copies of the the necessary studies yourself and assume responsibility for their safe transport.
Do I have to pay for my visit at the time of my appointment?
Payment of any co-pay, deductible and/or any non-covered services will be expected at the time of your visit. All covered services will be submitted to your insurance carrier. Click here to learn more about your financial obligations.
How much is my co-pay to see a General Surgeon?
Call our office during regular business hours at (573) 334-3074 and ask to speak to your physician's nurse assistant. If the test result in question has been received by our office, he/she will communicate the results to you and answer any questions you might have. If we have not yet received the results, he/she will verify your preferred contact information, look into the issue and get back to you as soon as possible.
We greatly appreciate your patience in these situations and are committed to following up with you as quickly as possible. We work hard to contact patients with time-sensitive results quickly, as we know that everyone is anxious for his/her results.
What should I do if I am experiencing a medical problem, particularly one that occurs after office hours or on a weekend?
During normal office hours, please call our office at (573) 334-3074 to explain your problem to our clinical staff. They will relay the message to your physician, and we will act accordingly.
For problems that arise after hours or on weekends, please call (573) 334-3074. Even though our office will be closed, you will hear a pre-recorded message that will provide you with the name of the physician on call and his/her contact number.
